Welcome to Twila Reid School!
Welcome back Reid Rams! My name is Mrs. Erin Helenihi and I'm very excited to serve as the Reid School principal for the 2016-17 school year. I have 16 years of experience in education that spans grades K-8; the majority of my experience has been at the elementary level. I left a neighboring district, where I was serving as a site administrator to join the Savanna family as an Intervention Coordinator. I have had the wonderful opportunity to learn about the Savanna School District, and specifically Reid Elementary, last year before stepping in as Reid School Principal. I’m excited to serve as an educational leader to your son/daughter’s school and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.
Along with staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Reid School by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. We will continue to focus on 21st Century skills, fostering a nurturing safe environment for children, promoting the strong PBIS program already in place, using data to inform instruction, growing in our development of Common Core Standards, and providing exciting and challenging opportunities for all students.
I anticipate a successful year as our entire Reid staff will work together to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of your child at Twila Reid Elementary School.
As Principal, my door will always be open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to stop in or call to make an appointment to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help make your child’s educational experience at Reid School the best it can be!
At Twila Reid School we are excited and ready for the 2016-17 school year to begin!
