Child Find

The purpose of Child Find is to identify, locate, and evaluate children and youth between the ages of 3 to 22 who are suspected of having or have a disability or developmental delay, in order to provide appropriate special educational services under the law.

Every school district is required to have procedures in place to help locate students who may need special education services. Please contact the Savanna School District Special Education Department at 714-236-3815 if you are concerned about your child's development or have questions about referring a child for special education services.

More information on Child Find procedures, including a brochure developed by the Greater Anaheim Special Education Local Education Plan Area (Greater Anaheim SELPA) can be found by clicking here.
